ENTERTAINMENT, CULTURE AND ARt

Bequia is fun, full of activities and special cultural events throughout the year.

The famous Bequia Easter Regatta, is a fabulous colorful 4 day event, full of fun and camaraderie. Skill and tradition, with the whole island caught up in regatta fever. People come from all over the world just to be in Bequia for the regatta.

Fisherman's Day, held annually on the first Saturday after Vincy Mass. It challenges in fiercely competition the skills of harvest of the sea.

The Bequia Music festival is held in January and features top performers from around the Caribbean and beyond. The Mustique Blues Festival also is visiting Bequia bringing some of the worlds to blues performers to the island.

Little cozy galleries are showing colorful local art. Music is everywhere. Bars are open late for some dancing or just listening, or just watch the moon sitting in a hammock on the beach.

You wanted to go shopping, come with me. Let's start with a fresh Croissant and strong coffee in Port Elizabeth , walk over to the Rasta Market and then Sam McDowell, who has hand crafted souvenirs.

Shopping always makes me hungry and thirsty, I think we should stop a rum shop and sample some of the best Caribbean blends and maybe a local beer to refresh and then eat some great Creole food on the beach, how wonderful and enjoyable.
